1 Wows
There are tools to use in Google, at your very finger tips, and often never noticed. I think it's because we have become so used to using Google like we always do we often don't notice the small things added over time which can enhance the experience. These can make searching much faster and easier for you.
Here a quick tip that I find handy that you might want to notice. The image below shows my website's listing in Google. I want you to notice the following things.
There is a small spy glass to the right of the star. Ever notice that before or used it? Do you hate clicking on a link in your search results and end up at a dead end page? If you click on that spy glass you will get the following result:
The listing is now highlighted and a preview of the page it's pointing to is brought up on the right. The results actually magnify were exactly on the page your search term comes up so you can see ahead if that is what you are looking for.
Now, as you roll your mouse over other listings it will automatically show you that preview for each one. This will save you a lot of clicks. It also graphically illustrates a point for search engine optimization - if the key words typed on the search are not on your page you simply won't have a chance at all of coming up. If you want results for "print" and "printing", then you need to have both words worked into the text of your page.
Break out of your normal box and click around on the Google results. The tools are not "in your face" but there to enhance your searching. I'll bring up a few more handy things ongoing. For now, hope this helps.
